What is your cabinet painting process?

Preparation is key prior to painting of the cabinets, after the painting process is complete we will reassemble cabinets, install hardware and make sure the work area is completely cleaned. You can find more detailed information regarding each phase of our process below.

What types of paint do you use?

We use industrial grade post-catalyzed lacquer-based products to provide the most durable finish.

What do I need to do to prepare?

Remove all items from inside the cabinets. Clear all items to the best of your ability from around the cabinet area. This will ensure the preparation and painting process will be done in an efficient manner.

Do you have references I can contact?

Yes, we do A referral document will be provided during the estimate consultation.

Do you have samples and pictures of before and after?

Yes, during the in-person consultation each one of our sales representatives has a sample cabinet door to show off the durability and visual appeal of our paint application. In addition, we have a large variety of before and after pictures we would be happy to share.

Do you spray, brush or roll?

The entire process will be a spray applied finish to provide the highest quality finished appearance. In addition, all the cabinet doors and drawer faces will be taken off-site and painted in a controlled environment.

Are you insured?

Yes, and not just for cabinet painting. We are fully covered by general liability and workers comp insurance. Documents available upon request.

    • What to expect during your cabinet painting project

    Painting cabinets is best left to a professional who specializes in preparation, painting, and reinstallation of your cabinets.

    Preparation:

    1. Label all doors and drawers for proper reinstallation
    2. Remove all hardware from cabinets being painted (will leave hardware at customer site)
    3. Remove all doors and drawers being painted.
    4. Transport doors and drawers to a climate-controlled spray facility.
    5. During the in-housework of the project phase all surrounding surfaces will be thoroughly covered and protected prior to any paint being applied.

    Painting Steps:

    1. Buff sand all surfaces with sandpaper.
    2. Wipe all surfaces with denatured alcohol.
    3. Light sand
    4. Apply one coat of bonding primer.
    5. Light sand
    6. Apply two topcoats of an industrial grade post-catalyzed lacquer-based paint to provide the most durable finish.

    Final Process:

    1. Reassemble Cabinets
    2. Install cabinet hardware
    3. Clean up after our work is complete.
    4. Dedicated Project Manager will perform a walk-through to make sure you are 100% satisfied.
